then and there and now.
The point at which you heard it.
It is a bad day of
poetic karma but nothing is boring usually.

So, we went in search
      of the Something Dove's call,

Rob Yates is a writer from Essex. He has appeared as a bookseller, a bartender, a youth worker, a casual gardener, an English tutor, and a volunteer for various projects both at home and abroad.

He is currently based in Charlottesville, where he is completing an MFA at the University of Virginia.

Some of his fiction and poetry has been fortunate enough to make its way into various magazines and online journals. In recent years, he has also been creating a website of experimental offcuts.

He released a selection of poems some years ago, which can be purchased here.

This site aims to act as a central hub for my work, to keep as much of it as possible under one roof, and to direct you towards more of it should you so wish.
