If only you'd made poems
then and there and now. The point at which you heard it. It is a bad day of poetic karma but nothing is boring usually. So, we went in search of the Something Dove's call, but rather than that voice... - from We In The Hours * * * Rob Yates is a writer hailing from Essex. He has appeared as a bookseller, a bartender, a casual gardener, and a charity worker both at home and abroad. Recent stints overseas took him through Indonesia, New Zealand, Nepal, and South America. He has completed a few novels and novellas over the years, all of them proving unpublishable, as well as short fiction and poetry, some of which has been fortunate enough to make its way into various magazines and online journals. He is now turning his attention to writing shorter stories, exploring electronic literature, creating a website of experimental offcuts, and to recording music with spoken word, examples of which can be found here. He also released a selection of poems several years ago, which can be purchased here. This site aims to act as a central hub for my work, to keep as much of it as possible under one roof, and to direct you towards more of it should you so wish. |
